Call Center Agent
The call center agent operates various telephone and paging equipment in order to provide assistance and information to outside callers and Hospital personnel in accordance with established procedures. Answers telephones promptly in a clear and courteous manner. Identifies the medical center with approved greeting. Take and relay messages and provide routine information. Determines caller needs and respond to inquiries politely and promptly. Refers matters outside the scope of own duties to appropriate others as necessary keeping callers informed as needed. Maintains various logs and records, i.e., patient condition reports, Hospital census book, paging information log, etc., in accordance with established procedures. Provides information on patient to families and friends, i.e., patient condition, direct dialing number, location, etc., in accordance with established procedures. Provide patient location for various departments, such as Pharmacy, Labs, Escort Service, etc., as needed. Operates CRT terminal as assigned.
This is a full time remote position located at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle high volume of calls quickly utilizing customer service skills
