Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech - Full Time Days Job at Carson-Tahoe Regional Healthcare

Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager, performs complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures of the cardiovascular system for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular disease in accordance with industry, federal, state, and JCAHO requirements. The incumbent is required to function as a professional resource person to cardiologists, other medical staff, management, nursing, and fellow staff sonographers regarding the documentation and interpretation of cardiovascular ultrasound procedures. Population served includes all age groups.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent education and experience and RDCS or RCS required.
- Incumbent must hold and maintain active registry with the ARDMS or CCI in the specialty of adult or pediatric echocardiography; both adult and pediatric credentials is highly preferred.
- CPR certification for Health Care Providers is required. A minimum of two (2) years recent experience in Echocardiography preferred.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team with medical staff.
