As a Cardiovascular Technician in our Cath Lab, you will assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time to supply care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other healthcare members. Your care will change the lives of our patients.

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform optimal patient care and adhere to accepted medical guidelines

• You will be able to perform all procedures within scope of service and under the guidelines of the ACC and ARRT.

• You will assist in maintaining cardiac cath lab equipment and preventative maintenance schedules.

• You will help maintain adequate inventory for cardiac cath lab.

• You will assist cardiovascular nurse in providing safe nursing care.

• You will promptly report problems relating to patients, staffing, equipment, or work methods.

• You will demonstrate awareness of sensitivity to patient’s rights and seek ways to reduce risk.

• You will actively participate in opportunities for patient care improvement

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required.

• Associate degree required.

• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.

• A current American Heart Association ACLS certification or American Red Cross ALS certification is required.

• Georgia: Current ARRT or RCIS credentials required.

• 1 year of experience preferred
