Caregiver Job at The Hamlet at Queenstown
We are looking for a highly responsible In Home Caregiver to provide personal care services to our clients that have special needs, such as, physical impairments and elderly people. Your main responsibilities will be taking care of their needs, making sure they eat properly and their medications are taken. You will also help them with their daily activities, like showering and cleaning, and help them exercise when required. As an In Home caregiver, you will be responsible for planning activities and outings with the clients. This role requires flexibility as you will need to work with diverse caregivers to provide the best care possible.
Responsibilities:
- Care for the elderly or people with disabilities in their own homes.
- Follow a set schedule of visits each day.
- Cook according to client’s preferences and dietary requirements and ensure the safety of all food.
- Help the clients with personal hygiene and daily living activities (bathing, dressing etc.).
- Take medical history, monitor vital signs, communicate with physicians and administer prescribed medications.
- Monitor clients’ health through regular updates from doctors and nurses.
- Offer companionship to lonely clients.
