We are looking for an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.

Job Attributes and Skills

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Should have three to five years experience as a carpenter in the retail / restaurant construction industry and have experience with metal framing, drywall, FRP work, finishing work, acoustic ceilings, paint work and tile work.
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and proven leadership skills. The ability to handle multiple projects / tasks.
  • The appropriate candidate will need to be able to communicate in a professional manner with all persons associated with the program, especially all client representatives.
  • The ability to use similar or equivalent technology as DAVACO technology as it pertains to collecting and communicating data, via handheld PC, Outlook, Excel, Computers, Smart Phone, etc.
  • Must be able to work as part of the DAVACO Field Execution team as well some sub trades.
  • Must have a good understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
  • Thoroughly understand project floor plans, fixture placement drawings and construction drawings.
  • Communicate potential change orders to Project Manager as soon as they become known.
  • Manage and communicate client concerns, problems or complaints on assigned projects.
  • Ensure communication of potential survey changes or differences to Project Manager as soon as they become known.
