BASIC PURPOSE:
The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely posting of all cash, checks, credit cards, and electronically transferred funds to assigned customer account and provide administrative and technical support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Accomplishes results through combined effort of team; follows the structure of organizational units or a centralized functional activity.
  • Posting and application of daily cash receipts to customer accounts
  • Research and resolve unidentified or unapplied cash
  • Reconciliation of customer payment remittances
  • Verify and analyze client discounts to ensure contract discount terms are appropriately taken
  • Process necessary adjustments and refunds
  • Assist in the month-end close process by ensuring all processing is completed within the allotted time frame
  • All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school graduate required; some college preferred.
  • 2 -4 years’ experience in Cash Application or Accounts Receivable; Staffing or Medical field a plus.
  • Quickbooks experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, *Strong Excel Skills and Outlook
  • PeopleSoft, Oracle and Great Plains highly desired
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and some ability to analyze, explain, and draw logical conclusions from operational, financial, regulatory and/or business data
  • Experience describing and documenting specific requirements
  • Must be detail oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements.
