Job Description – Cashier

The Cashiers position is responsible for handling money, credit card machines, and keeping the customers feeling welcomed when they arrive and depart. Other duties include order processing, return processing, and interaction with customers via phone and Will Call.

• Computer literate with understanding of basic computer functions
• Exhibits excellent communication skills with strong work ethic
• Exhibits initiative by identifying areas for improvement and presenting solutions to management
• Exhibits strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Exhibits ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Maintain and appropriate standard of dress and personal appearance

DUTIES

• Deal directly with customers either by phone, electronically, or face to face
• Handling money and credit card transactions with keen accuracy
• Interact with other departments in a professional manner to promptly resolve requests
• Answering phone calls and distribute accordingly
• Maintain cleanliness and refill coffee pot station as needed
• Restrooms tidied; supplies refilled and surfaces cleaned on a bi-hourly basis
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Computer Literate with all Microsoft Windows, especially Outlook and Excel
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk/ hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk.
