Job Summary:

Receives payment for products or services sold by the dealership and plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction for the business transaction.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Answer multi-line phone systems in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ensure all calls are answered or transferred to voice mail if team members are unavailable.
  • Receive payments for all parts and service transactions.
  • Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Computes customer bills.
  • Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
  • Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
  • Provides refunds to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by Manager.
  • Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased or refers them to someone who can.
  • Handles customer complaints with integrity and when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate manager for resolution.
  • Provides clerical and secretarial assistance.
  • Multitasking at any one time.
  • Direct customers to where they need to be.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year of experience as a receptionist or similar role (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times.

  • This position reports to the store Office Manager.
