Silver's Casino in Breaux Bridge is looking for happy, outgoing, professional, and detail-oriented cashiers/floor attendants. This position involves working in the casino. The casino consists of 50 video poker machines. All applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
Cashiers/Floor Attendants are responsible for the following:
- Cash video poker voucher presented by customers.
- Balance a cash drawer at the end of each shift
- Provide accurate change to customers.
- Prepare drinks.
- Provide assistance to customers by making available information on all machines, games, and promotions.
- Maintaining interpersonal relationships with the public, especially customers
- Ensure safe keeping of periodic balance sheets of numbers of transactions and respective amounts.
- Keep records of transaction totals
- Develop and maintain non-monetary records and reports.
- Ascertain the amount of cash in cash drawer at the start of every shift.
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
- Greet customers as they enter the store premises and also as they step out.
- Ensure that the casino is clean and in order at all times.
- Stock bar and coffee areas
- Supervise other staff and provide on-the-job training when asked to
- Reliable and predictable attendance.
- Previous casino or customer contact experience preferred.
- Be able to pass a full background check by LA State Police Gaming Division
- Ensure that all patrons are of the legal gaming age.
- Be able to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
Previous video poker experience is highly preferred, but not required. If needed, Silver's Casino will provide access to a formal training class to obtain Technician Certification. Proper training on policies and procedures is provided. Schedule must be flexible as this property is open 24/7.
