Category Specialist-Contract
Hybrid Remote/Onsite- Dodge Center, Minnesota
Approximately 4-6 month -travel expenses plus diem for non local candidates
TRIGO Quality Solutions is looking for a Contractor as a temporary acting Category Specialist to assist with procurement, supply chain and commodity management. The ideal candidate will have experience in experience in direct category strategic sourcing, leading and influencing suppliers, and forging new relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quoting, inventory valuation, contract management, cost flows
- Devise ways and means to maximize commodity buying efficiency and minimize costs
- Develop and manage pricing strategies
- Draft and manage contracts and negotiations
- Develop, nurture, and maintain a strong relationship with assigned suppliers
- Collaborate with suppliers on improving quality
- Alleviate risks and focus on developing supplier performance
- Develop and execute long term supplier strategy deployment, supplier cost modeling and supplier opportunity assessments
- Establish regular programs for pricing review
- Resolution of invoice price discrepancies
- Assist in supply base rationalization
- Administer and complete special projects as assigned
