Catering Coordinator/Receptionist – Back Office

Taking and Assisting with Catering Orders as well as some General Office Work

Applicants for the Catering Coordinator/Receptionist Position in our back office will be tasked with handling several duties around the office. As part of the catering position, applicants will be expected to take orders from customers (on the phone and through email) for items in all departments of the store. Orders can get very specific so staying organized and paying attention to the finer details is a must. We take a lot of pride in what we do and the food we put out, so it is of the upmost importance to make sure orders are correct and that customers are satisfied with their meals. Applicants will take the order, process it through our system and registers and then distribute instructions to the proper department within the store. With time in between orders applicants will be tasked with basic office duties that include but are not limited to filing, answering calls, taking wholesale produce orders, helping customers with gift basket orders, and greeting staff, vendors, and customers at our front window. This position is vital to the flow and execution of our store, and we are looking for someone with a positive attitude to fit into our team setting and family environment. This position is a full-time job (5 days per week) with a salary of $18-22/hour and does require weekend and holiday hours. (We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter have shortened hours on the summer holidays). Our employees are also given the chance to move up within the company as they display the necessary skills and passion needed for the desired position!

While previous catering/office experience is a plus, it is not required. We are willing and able to train individuals who show the desire to learn and listen from our veteran staff. Applicants for this position will work with our current staff members to learn the ins and outs of the position. You will have to learn, taste our menu items, and understand our process in all our departments to fully grasp what customers are ordering and how we go about executing orders. This is not a position we expect you to master in a day or a week so we are looking for someone who would like to find a home and grow with our company for years to come. Applicants will also spend time with current office staff members to learn the office tasks as well as answering the phones. You will be learning new things every day, so we need someone who is passionate and committed to their work as we continue to expand our catering business in the future. Our office leaders are always there to assist with any questions the applicant may have as they learn the different aspects of the job.
