We currently have an exciting opportunity in our assembly/molding department for a Manufacturing Associate V at our Devens, MA location.

Work hands-on with manufacturing associates to train and ensure product compliance. Coordinate all cell activities. Perform Production Reporting duties as required. Work with Technicians to verify machines and or equipment are making product compliant to the inspection plan. Responsible for upholding cleanliness in all areas of assigned work cell on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Operate work centers and assembly stations as assigned on the production floor.
  • Set up equipment (IE: Tables, fixtures, etc.) to meet daily production needs.
  • Perform a variety of functions within IQMS and other production-oriented platforms.
  • Maintain clean and tidy standards for all assigned work areas.
  • Regular Attendance and professionalism.
  • Perform 6S and Lean activities as assigned.
  • Review procedures and work instructions looking for and recommending updates that would improve process flow or efficiencies.
  • Assist in new project setups and process flows in tandem with engineering as requested.
  • Train to and operate any secondary automation equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

  • Assist with mold work orders to ensure repairs are properly addressed.
  • Perform and maintain all ISO procedures and train personnel accordingly.
  • Maintain DMRs to ensure all instructions are accurate and up to date. Work direct with Doc Control for updates
  • Interact with Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance and Engineering to solve day-to-day manufacturing issues.
  • Perform daily checks on molds, machines, robots and all other related equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
  • Implement and support Lean practices (5-S, Poka-Yoke, Kanban, SMED, Etc.)
  • A & B Shift technicians will attend planning meetings and coordinate with materials, mold set and other areas to insure effective execution of daily schedule
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications include:

  • High School/Trade School Diploma
  • Enrolled in Plastics Technology degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mold Technician
  • Strong team player, self-motivated.
  • Excellent problem skills with attention to detail.
  • Computer proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods.
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally.
  • Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.
  • Exposure to machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.
