Now Hiring Tower Technicians

The Tower Tech’s primary responsibility is to perform tower activities, as directed, including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, steel work, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Ø Show up to work on time, physically and mentally prepared to work.

Ø Complete all tasks assigned by Crew Leader in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.

Ø Perform tower activities, as directed, including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, steel work, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.

Ø Install, connect and test underground and above ground grounding systems, as directed.

Ø Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by proper planning and prioritizing.

Ø Assist in identifying all materials and other resources needed to complete project.

Ø Assist in identifying and fixing construction punch list of items and ensure they are completed prior to customer inspection.

Ø Maintain and help enforce all company and OSHA safety practices, perform daily on-site safety inspections on equipment prior to operation.

Ø Promote positive relations with customers, partners, and vendors.

Ø Keep Crew Leader informed on all pertinent issues.

Ø Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Crew Leader.

REQUIREMENTS

o Education / Experience – High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.

o Experience in Tower and Monopole erection preferred.

o Experience installing antennas and lines preferred

o Demonstrated ability to work in a crew environment.

o Insurable, valid driver’s license.

o Willingness to travel. Willingness to learn and a desire to advance in the organization.

o Prior experience constructing cell towers or installation of wireless equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to work outdoors year-round and climb and work comfortably at heights of 400' or more. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Work may require significant travel up to 5 days a week.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be able to climb and work on communication towers in excess of 400 feet in height. Must have ability to lift/use tools while working on towers, and strong technical aptitude. Must be able to work well with others. Must be dependable and trustworthy.
