OVERVIEW:

The Goddard School located in Cypress, TX is looking for a motivated self-starter for a Director’s position. The Goddard brand has been a trusted name among parents and families for more than 25 years. Our classrooms are safe and nurturing learning environments for children as young as six weeks, offering age-appropriate opportunities to discover, explore, and learn. Our approach is based on widely accepted childhood development and brain-based learning research that clearly indicates the deepest, most genuine learning occurs for children through play-based activities. We foster the cognitive and social development of each child with fun lessons lovingly guided by trained teachers, preparing children for social and academic success.

This is a Leadership position which reports directly to ownership with significant influence on school policies and procedures and will work together with ownership to ensure that children and their families feel known and appreciated for their individual gifts and personalities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Overseeing preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations
• Developing strong relationships with our families
• Managing a budget
• Complying with state childcare licensing regulations
• Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Must be, or have the credentials to become, State of Texas Director certified.
• Prior faculty and operational management experience in a preschool environment.
• Current (or previous) Director experience.
• Demonstrate highly effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Must have experience managing faculty, curriculum, and lesson planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage payroll through payroll system.
• Must be well organized.
• Must be a team player, a team builder, and committed to professional development.
