• Clear and effective communication to all areas of the business
• Be the materials contact within the building to help build internal relationships and give updates in a timely manner
• Evaluates performance of suppliers though the supplier report card process and participates in business reviews
• Prepare budgets and forecast purchasing trends to determine course of action
• Compile reports on product performance and statistics and gives recommendations to the nursing department
• Analyzes current state of processes, recommend improvements, and influence change
• Creation and follow up of purchase orders for direct material for assigned suppliers
• Manage assigned supplier accounts to promote on-time delivery and quality goals
• Support of non-conforming material process
• Assist in resolving material and process issues by determining root cause and suggesting solutions to implement
• Manages supplier receipt exception process and arranges for return of obsolete and surplus materials, return of rejected materials, and contacts vendors concerning billing errors
• Support New Product Introductions to production
• Support End of Life process
• Shortage updates and critical concern maintenance on new products
• Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long-term relationships
• Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels
• Utilize approved alternate suppliers to minimize cost and increase profitability
• Work closly with Engineering, Sales, and Estimating to resolve technical specification changes / enhancements
• Develops a strong partnership with manufacturing and customer service counterparts to prioritize expectations and meet critical must have dates
• Work with the inventory team to ensure parts for production are received, put away, pulled and organized in a timely fashion based upon production schedules
• Successful implementation of commodity review that resulted in cost savings and vendor consolidation
• Manages cost savings, delivering on annual direct, indirect, and cost avoidance objectives
• Problem solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction from RFQ through production
• Communicate and coordinate new product introduction material procedures
• Resolve material and process issues by exposing the root cause and implementing solutions
• Helps manage and perform cycle counts and year end physical inventory counts within the central inventory location
• Help standardize processes, for respective brand, in accordance with direction from Director of Nursing and ED.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $8.19 - $38.48 per hour
