Beautiful 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Tacoma seeks Central Supply Coordinator.
Position Summary:
The Staffing and Central Supply Coordinator is primarily responsible for scheduling nursing staff and other elements of staff support for licensed nurse, certified medication aides and certified nursing assistants; responsible for coordinating the functions of the central supply room by maintaining supply and equipment inventory on all units while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards.
Essential Position Duties:
Maintains the medical supply and equipment inventory in Central Supply room and in the Nursing Department. • Maintains an appropriate level of stock supplies to meet staff and resident needs. • Coordinates the ordering, inventorying, delivering, rotation and cost comparisons of medical supplies, and maintains records related to the functions. • Maintains Central Supply section of material safety data sheets (MSDS) books. • Ensures cleanliness and/or sterility of supplies, equipment, and Central Supply Room areas. • Maintains infection control standards. • Maintains computer database of patient information and uses database to accurately maintain patient charge tracking system. • Prepares monthly reports for administration detailing inventory distribution, supply use and other functions of central supply.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably a current CNA Certification in State employed.
- A minimum of three months' prior Nursing Assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
