Chief Operating Officer Job at The Lords Agency

The Lords Agency Remote

Role: As COO, you will be responsible for the execution of the CEO’s vision and strategy by developing and managing the people and processes required to meet and exceed the Company’s growth targets and ultimately, the Company Vision.

COMPANY OVERVIEW: The Lords Agency is the only agency in the world that works exclusively with online coaches and course sellers, helping them generate more leads and sales through our recruiting, consulting and done-for-you services. We have generated over $80M in online sales of our own online courses and programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • No Tolerance For Anything Below KPI. You have no tolerance for team members not achieving (or beating) their KPI. You act quickly and effectively to resolve any instances where team members or departments are not achieving (or beating) their KPI.
  • Hyper-Focused On Execution and KPI Achievement. It’s said when Peter Thiel was Operator at PayPal, he required everyone be tasked with exactly one priority. And he would refuse to discuss virtually anything else with you except what was currently assigned as your #1 initiative. If this idea strikes you as extreme, you’re (unfortunately) not the Operator we’re looking for.
  • Bias For Fast Action. You’re always ready to onboard a new, key project. When you do so, existing projects don’t fall off or slow down at all.
  • Persuasive and Cogent. You have no problem having a difficult conversation with a Client or team member, and getting the desired outcome the CEO wants. You are able to protect the CEO from tasks that take the CEO away from making the greatest contributions to the Company.
  • Culture. You have a passion and skill for bringing the right team together to assure each project is completed to the highest standards.
  • Over-communicator. We are a remote company. Over-communicating is absolutely essential. You embody this and demand this of every team member in the Company.
  • At least 3 years of Operational Experience at a Remote Company
  • Experience operating a company doing at least $10M in annual revenues. You know what a fast-scaling operation is supposed to “look” and “feel” like.
  • Strong and Developed Leadership Skills. You’re comfortable motivating and leading high-performers.
  • Organized, Systems thinker. You demand every repeatable process in the company be organized, centralized and executed according to SOP.
  • Kaizen mentality. You’re always learning and evolving, pushing the business forward to its goals faster, easier and/or with less costs.
  • Coachable. Your ego does not get in the way of learning. You’re able to absorb useful feedback and apply effectively.
  • Granular. You know how everything in the business is supposed to work, and exactly how it’s going today. You cannot be stumped or BS’ed. You always have your finger on the pulse of the critical KPI’s in the business at all times, and are acting accordingly to resolve anything below KPI.

RESULTS:

  • Operational Excellence. Understands, operates and ensures execution of all the key people/processes within the Company.
  • For example, take the Onboarding Process for new Clients. You clarified every minor and major checkpoint of the process. You clarified and communicated exactly what standard every person who owns a task in the process must execute at. You’ve got every person involved in the process crystal clear on what they need to do to be successful, and why they need to do it that way. Your people are clear and motivated. You hold each of them deeply accountable to their KPI. You over-communicate with them. You tolerate nothing but at or above KPI. You know every inch of the process, know exactly how it’s currently going for each client account, and you are always ensuring it’s at or above KPI. And you do all of this without being asked - you do it because it’s the standard you operate at. You do the same thing for Delivery. For Retention Systems. For every key system and process in the business.
  • Projects are completed to Company High Standard and in timely manner
  • You and the CEO are in-sync. Progress is fast and forward.
  • You and the CTO work effectively together to develop precise, effective systems in ClickUp that drive consistently precise, effective results.

This will include regularly evaluating the Company’s organizational structure to both identify existing and anticipate potential skill and/or functional gaps.
