Childcare Head Teacher Job at Mercy Learning Center
General Responsibilities
- The Head Teacher is required to be present 60% of the hours the Center is in operation
- Must be 20 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must meet the qualifications for State of Connecticut approval as a Head Teacher
- Responsible for planning and implementing the day to day educational portion of the program
- Responsible for meeting all of the day to day emotional and physical needs of the children
- Possess personal qualities necessary to care and work with children, relate and direct other child care staff, relate to and communicate with parents
- Report to the Director and the President/CEO of MLC
Staff Responsibilities
- Attend all staff meetings
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Work in collaborative style
Job Requirements
- Must be 20 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalency
- Must meet the qualifications for State of Connecticut approval as a Head Teacher
- Early childhood associates degree would be preferred
