Position Overview:
MERS Goodwill is seeking a part-time clerical/administrative support staff for Jefferson and Franklin Counties in Missouri to assist current staff with administrative needs. This position supports area workforce development activities and initiatives. Excellent time management and written/verbal communication required. Flexibility with schedule availability as well as independent transportation and insurance required. Local travel in Jefferson and Franklin Counties; mileage reimbursement provided.
Primary Duties:
- Provides clerical/administrative support through entering case notes in data tracking system, generating and maintaining forms, reports, and invoices via computerized management software.
- Clerical duties (e.g., filing, keying, faxing), entering data and extracting data from multiple systems. Use of computer applications required (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing, and Microsoft Office)
- The ability to be accurate and focus on attention to details will be critical.
- The ability to follow applicable State and Local workforce development policies and procedures.
- The ability to travel in the local community, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- Requires ability to observe and work well with a diverse population; possess excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Must possess driver's license, vehicle, insurance and ability/willingness to travel occasionally.
- Excellent time management and written/verbal communication skills required. Flexibility with schedule as well as independent transportation required.
Essential Training Requirements:
Agency wide new staff orientation; Review of Personnel Practices Code Book, Training Manual, and Safety Manual; and other training as required.
