Essex Inpatient Physicians (EIP) has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Clinical Administrative Assistant to join our administrative team in our office located in North Andover, MA. EIP provides clinical staffing (physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners) at local hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in northern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire, and coastal Maine. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, patient-focused acute and post-acute care. This role is an administrative position working in an office setting (not remote) and is not patient facing.

Job Description:
The Clinical Administrative Assistant will organize and maintain all census and demographic information and electronic medical record systems, as well as help to manage and oversee all front desk operations to ensure an organized and efficiently run office environment. Our ideal candidate will be able to work independently, take ownership of assigned projects, and proactively anticipate next steps.

Duties and Qualifications:
  • Manage external and internal communications by answering and directing telephones calls, triaging faxes, handling incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, and greeting visitors
  • Provide census and demographics management for patients across multiple facilities
  • Use medical billing or coding knowledge to act as a liaison for our outsourced billing company
  • Support clinical staff with initial and as-needed support with EMRs, sign-outs, and provider call systems
  • Respond to patient/family/third-party requests for medical records
  • Provide office support including file organization and maintenance, ordering supplies, and other general office duties and administrative projects as requested
  • Be proficient in all Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve to meet deadlines
  • Must comply with all HIPAA policies, patient confidentiality, and privacy
