The reimbursement policy author is part of an innovative team who have overall accountability for reimbursement policy creation, maintenance and project support. This individual will partner with many areas including prepay, business operations, and other matrix partners to assist with the implementation of reimbursement policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proficiency with industry medical billing/coding and the ability to clearly explain coding logic including the use of modifiers is a must.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of new code descriptions, the impact of code additions, changes or deletions to policies and associated code edits as well as the ability to review and understand data analysis.
This position is responsible for the identification of reimbursement policy opportunity, researching competitive landscape to stay current on trends, creation of a code edit strategy to align with reimbursement policies and will be the reimbursement policy subject matter expert on existing and new reimbursement policy topics.
Support for additional reimbursement policy project work may be assigned as needed
The ideal candidate must be able to clearly communicate and must be collaborative and work effectively and efficiently with other areas.

QUALIFICATIONS
Active CPC (Coding Certification) required with a minimum of one year procedure coding (HCPCS/CPT) experience required
Facility coding certification or billing experience a plus
Healthcare insurance background required
Registered Nurse/LPN preferred
Medicare coding and/or reimbursement background preferred
Proficiency with industry medical billing/coding and the ability to clearly explain coding logic is a must.
Strong attention to detail
Must be proactive and team oriented with ability to foster collaboration; value others perspectives and assist with gaining support and buy-in for organizational proposals
Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to include written, oral and group presentation.
Strong data analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Passionate regarding quality of product

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 86,600 - 144,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
