Certified Medical Assistant - CMA - Pediatrics Summary:
The CMA assists in providing and coordinating care for our pediatric patients.
Certified Medical Assistant - CMA Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program
- CPR certification
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Certification with American Association of Medical Assistants preferred
- One-year experience in pediatrics or family medicine preferred
- Prior Epic experience preferred
- Prior clinic experience preferred
Certified Medical Assistant - CMA Responsibilities:
- Rooms patients; assists in procedures; schedules tests/procedures; administers injections; preps charts and abstracts results; cleans and stocks rooms; any may assist with autoclaving.
- Monitors and responds to MyChart requests, result notes, unviewed results, unread message alerts, etc.
- Performs treatment visits for patients who may need immunizations, nebulizer treatments, etc.
- Works the Epic In Basket and responds to non-symptom based calls from patients regarding refill requests, paperwork, immunization questions, etc.
