ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure that parts/fixtures are inspected with the appropriate tools.

· Program/operate CMM for inspection (PC DIMS software), annual validation and calibration purposes.

· Ensure all measurement tools used to perform dimensional inspection are calibrated.

· Special projects related to product quality: (for example, but not limited to)

- Capability studies

- Training on special/new equipment

- Review engineering standards as they apply to a specific part

· Document the results of inspection and provide a summary to the party requesting the layout.

· Verify fixtures meet customer and Company requirements, as required.

· Track work orders as directed.

· Support the PPAP process by performing the following:

- GR&R studies

- Part Layouts

- Capability studies

- Fixture Layouts

· Maintain fixture gages in good working condition.

· Notify the Quality Technician whenever a fixture is discovered to be in need of repair.

· Support the Dimensional Control Supervisor, regarding Annual Validation activities.

· Create reports as required for: (for example, but not limited to)

- Management review

- Customer evaluation

- PPAP

- SPIR’s

· Assist in other Quality (or Production if needed) related activities as needed.

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Maintain software and hardware related to the CMM. Contact the manufacturer as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
