CMM Operator Job at Pontiac Coil, Inc.
Summary: The individual in this position will work closely with quality, manufacturing and product engineers to review product drawings (prototype) and specifications in preparation for layout inspection.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for calibration of equipment and gages and working with the quality engineers in conducting measurement system analysis.
· Responsible for minor maintenance and repair of gages and equipment.
· Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of the gage and equipment calibration and verification database (Gage Trak).
· Responsible for the procurement and replacement of hand held measuring and monitoring equipment.
· Responsible for performing dimensional layouts for PPAP submissions, prototype submissions and other situations where dimensional data is provided to the customer.
· Responsible for providing a documented dimensional inspection report to the requesting party
· Responsible for performing capability studies.
· Maintains the dimensional database (DIS).
· Proficient in the use of and setting up measuring equipment such as Co-ordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), Optical Comparator, Non-Contact Vision system (Smart-Scope, Height gage, and assorted common gages i.e. micrometers, calipers, radius gages, plug gages, ohms meter, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
