*CROCKETT COUNTY CARE CENTER* *102 MEDICAL DRIVE OZONA, TX 76943* *325-392-2672* *FAX: 325-395-3553* *JOB DESCRIPTION FOR C.N.A.* *QUALIFICATIONS:* * Has completed a training and competency evaluation program or a competency evaluation approved by the State and holds a current certification from the State. * Must be enrolled in a competency-training program approved by the State and perform only services of type for which he/she has demonstrated competence. * Personality attuned to the requirements of meeting needs of the infirm and aged. * Demonstrate competency in skills and techniques necessary to care for resident’s needs as identified through Resident Assessment and described in the Care Plan. * Demonstrates knowledge of Universal Precautions and Blood Borne Pathogen rules. * Be able to read and write English. * Must be able to lift 55lbs and transfer 110lbs with assistance. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Working under general direction and supervision of charge nurse. * Handling and serving residents to assure safety and comfort. * Observing instructions of nursing staff and performing in line with established routine. * Providing maximum resident care services to assure well-being of resident to greatest degree. * Carrying out duties and responsibilities in confidence with established routine. *WORK PERFORMED:* Under supervision to perform duties assuring maximum care, security, and treatment. * Assist with carrying out the resident Assessment and Plan of Care. * Assuring physical comfort and mental well-being of resident. * Assist in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment, such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls, etc. * Detecting and correcting situations that have a high probability of causing accidents or injuries of residents. * Observing and reporting symptoms, reactions, and changes. * Good physical and mental outlook. * Other duties as might be necessary in order to keep facility running smoothly and efficiently. *JOB KNOWLEDGE:* * Knowledge of procedures and techniques. * Providing bedside services. * Familiarity with functions of various departments. * Understanding of standard techniques in personal service care of residents. * Perform willingly repetitive tasks. * Good physical and mental outlook. * Other duties as might be necessary in order to keep facility running smoothly and efficiently.
