Job Title: Programmer, CNC

Reports to: Machine Shop Manager

SUMMARY
The CNC Programmer is responsible for performing all necessary actions to create and implement programs for various CNC machines to manufacture aerospace cargo system parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program various parts for 4D and 5D vertical & horizontal mills and CNC lathes using
CAM software

Create and plan setup for CNC operations including tools and fixtures for programs
-Assist setup operators in verification and adjustments of new CNC programs
-Ensure processes and procedures are in place and followed when creating CNC programs
-Participate in quality, process, TPM and other audits as assigned.
-Attend and participate in concurrent engineering meetings
-Assist in production rework as needed for expedited shipments.
-Seek and implement continuous improvement (CI) ideas and support company CI efforts
-All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree (A.A.) & two years related experience and/or training; or five years related experience and/or training

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and comply with OSHA standards. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility. The environmental characteristic for this position is a manufacturing setting and is occasionally exposed to heat, cold, and wet.
