This industry leader in CNC machining and mechanical assembly is looking for an expert CNC Programmer to operate under limited supervision and build CNC programs using Mastercam X6 or higher for 3 and 5 axis CNC milling machines. CNC programs will be created for manufacturing components and job specific fixturing. Job responsibilities include the creation of setup documentation, tooling documentation and shop aided drafting prints.

CNC Programmer Essential Duties:
  • Using Mastercam software, select the appropriate cutting tools and speeds/feeds for a variety of materials (plastics, aluminum, steel, titanium) to create CNC programs and instructions used to run a CNC machine.
  • You will verify and simulate programs to CAD models to insure accuracy.
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data in order to determine the appropriate machine tool, work holding and cutter selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • Plan, design, and produce work holding fixtures.
  • Write, store, and modify original and/or existing CNC programs to improve efficiency.
  • You should be able to solve problems that appear in programs and processes.
  • Focus on continuous improvement through increased throughput and reduced changeover time.
  • Coordinate with other functional areas as needed to implement and change CNC programs.



Education/Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Machining Technology or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC programming.
  • Expert knowledge of Mastercam (x6 and higher) 3 and 5 axis.
  • Excellent knowledge of G-code.
  • The ability to apply mathematical functions knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
  • Experience in production and prototyping environments.
  • Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Self-managed, self-starter able to work well individually or in a team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.


Schedule and Pay:
  • Full-Time
  • $60K - $76K per year
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package available after a probationary period
