Commercial Handyman - Scottsdale, AZ

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Pay: $20 - $28 /hr

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Handyman to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in maintenance and repair, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills. This person must be able to work independently or as part of a team, be detail-oriented, and be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities / Must-have Skills:

• Technical knowledge: A thorough understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems is essential for a handyman. On any given day you may be fixing the leg on a table, installing a faucet, and patching drywall.

• Problem-solving skills: A handyman must be able to diagnose and resolve issues with building components and equipment.

• Communication skills: A handyman must be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical people and communicate effectively with coworkers and clients.

• Attention to detail: A handyman must be meticulous and precise in their work to ensure that all repairs are made properly and safely.

• Time management: A handyman must be able to prioritize tasks, manage their time effectively, and complete jobs within budget.

• Physical dexterity: A handyman must have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.

• Safety awareness: A handyman must be aware of potential hazards in their work environment and follow all safety procedures to minimize risk.

• Adaptability: A handyman must be able to work on a variety of projects and be flexible in their approach to problem-solving.

Requirements:

• Awareness of how you present yourself to clients and their store guests - You will be working in a commercial setting that ranges from a high-end retail stores to commercial job sites. Awareness of your presentation is critical.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
• 3+ years of experience in commercial maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems
