EdAdvance, in partnership with Post University, offers an 11-month program on the Post campus which provides comprehensive transition services for learners of all exceptionalities aged 17-22. UPP at Post University offers two distinct pathways for learners to reach their transition goals in an appropriate cohort with the necessary supports. Both pathways are aligned with the Connecticut Core Transitions Skills.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the academic, functional, and behavioral needs of young adult students
  • Maintain appropriate and timely written documentation/data collection
  • Ensure the health and safety of all individuals including assistance with individuals’ hygiene and personal care
  • Enforce all behavior support plans
  • Other duties as may be assigned

The Community Coach works under the supervision of the Coordinator of Transition Services and/or the Director of Special Services

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this job
