ATTIC Correctional Services is currently recruiting for a Community Service Crew Supervisor/Urinalysis Technician, to provide community based services to correctional clients following their release and transition back to their home community. This is a part time direct service position.

The Community Service Crew Supervisor is responsible for the operation of the adult community service work crews. This includes, but is not limited to transportation of the work crews from the ACS office to the work site, monitoring and/or participation in the services being performed by the work crew, maintaining attendance records, and progress reports to the C/S Coordinator.

The Urinalysis Technician tasks consist of drug surveillance, monitoring of participant report schedules, monitoring of participant daily activity logs, verifying participant self-report information, taking UA and BA specimens and testing, maintaining up-to-date client records/reports along with the program records/reports. The Urinalysis Technician will communicate/coordinate all services with the referral source in ensuring participant compliance to ordered programs, assist with job search ( if appropriate), intake orientation, enforcement of rules, policies and procedures, employment checks, and the preparation of incident reports. This person must maintain strict confidentiality of client and agency business information.

Community Service Crew Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Crew supervisors must be in the physical presence among work crew participants at all times so as to observe behavior and hear conversations.
  • Ensure quality service is provided by work crews.
  • Maintain client notes/incident reports when necessary on client performance and attitude while on crew.
  • Weekly communication with supervisors and Community Services coordinator.

Urinalysis Technician duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that all participants sign all necessary releases of information and fill out all required paperwork.
  • Maintain case notes and other participant program records, data, information.
  • Collect/Test BA and UA specimens; complete necessary paperwork and follow procedures.
  • Monitor Sign-in/out logs, monitor participant report schedules. Write incident reports and fax to referral sources as needed. Collect job search forms and conduct employment checks as requested by referral source.
  • Enforce program rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Keep an open communication with all referral sources.
  • Assist with answering telephones, taking messages, photocopying, making files, and filing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • This person will possess the appropriate combination of education and work experience to facilitate the efficient operation of the community service crew and the day to day program tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, detail minded, accuracy and verification strengths.
  • Ability to perform job duties with limited supervision, yet maintain a close working relationship with supervisor.
  • Ability to enforce policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Preferred 2 year degree in Corrections and experience in working with offenders.
  • Valid drivers license to operate motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Must have weekend availability
