About the Role

The Compensation Associate II at PREMIER Bankcard will provide compensation and analytical support for PREMIER’s compensation programs. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee and compensation records within our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The Compensation Associate II evaluates jobs, assists with reviewing job descriptions, participates in salary surveys and provides support for compensation & incentive programs. This role also researches compensation issues, identifies trends & recommendations, and performs other support functions as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers compensation procedures and programs according to company requirements and state & federal regulations
  • Partners with Human Resources (HR) team to review job descriptions based on job content, and makes recommendations ensuring critical job-related duties and minimum qualifications are accurately captured
  • Uses compensation system to evaluate and apply methodology for placement within current position framework
    • Applies analysis of external job evaluations & pay comparisons as needed
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
    • Assists with & prepares regulatory reporting for EEO, Affirmative Action and other required regulations
  • Assists with Salary Survey processes
  • Ensures proficiency with electronic compensation platforms, works closely with payroll & HRIS to resolve process issues, and ensures integrity of platform data for specific areas of responsibility
  • Provides support planning and implementation for compensation and incentive plans
  • Assists with the development, configuration, implementation, administration, and maintenance of all HRIS’s associated with employee or job information
    • Holds limited system administrative rights based on specific job functions
  • Responds to and resolves customer service requests according to PREMIER policies in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner at all times
  • Maintains confidential information, prioritizes work, and demonstrates problem solving skills
  • Assists with building or corporate projects & initiatives as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field of study preferred
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources or combination of education/experience required
    • Prior work experience directly related to compensation experience strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with HRIS experience preferred
    • Experience using Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) with a highly demonstrated standard of excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Strong Computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and perform analysis, comparisons, and calculations needed for Compensation role
  • Detail oriented, ability to produce accurate and timely results
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects with competing priorities & deadlines
