Job Purpose:
We are looking for a disciplined and talented Composer to join our team. You will work closely with the Bleeding Fingers creative team and collaborate with other composers to develop original score for each project. Composers will be required to work demanding hours to meet client dictated deadlines including potential out of hours and weekend working. Composers will be required to provide edits and amendments to compositions timely and in formats as directed by the client and communicated by the creative team. Outstanding candidates are passionate about creating memorable music and able to convey powerful emotions in their compositions.
What You’ll Do:
  • Composing, recording, and performing musical scores and arrangements that complement television shows, commercials, movies, theatre productions and video games
  • Analyzing projects and specifications and liaising with stakeholders to gather information prior to the composition process
  • Interpret client scripts and briefs to create bespoke and original score
  • Develop tone appropriate palette of cues for shows and series including building out from reference tracks to create original cues
  • Expanding knowledge of musical equipment, software packages, and technical recordings.
  • Receiving feedback and completing composition revisions
Who You Are:
  • 5 or more years prior experience as a Composer with a background in music composition and music theory, ideally with studio experience
  • Passionate about music and providing a quality product to clients
  • Fluent in Logic or Cubase
  • Ability to work quickly and deliver on time
  • Extensive music knowledge including familiarity with many different genres of music, musical score, instrumentation and musical terms and a willingness to listen to and learn unfamiliar works
  • Familiarity with the production of recording and electronic media projects
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong team mentality
  • Must be willing to work around production schedules and deadlines including availability to work nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have sound cross-functional collaboration skills, can build relationships internally and instill a sense of solidarity across teams
  • A thoughtful, organized and results-oriented professional
  • Able to adapt quickly to a changing environment with minimal disruption
  • Some Travel Required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events
