We are currently seeking Composite Technicians to build our composite material and show car expertise in-house. This role is a three-month contract to start with the goal of becoming a permanent member of the team.
The Role
- Work on composite fabrication projects within the design studio.
- Building fascia, trims, and show car panels.
- Develop a library of available materials and track inbound supplies within the composite department.
- Collaborate with CAD modelers for mold strategy.
- Follow the timelines provided by the Hard Modeling manager.
- Creating one-off parts as needed for prototypes.
Qualifications
- 5 + years of experience working in show car build environments or high-end composite fabrication in comparable industries.
- Knowledge of mold making and break up.
- Experience with show car builds and processes for luxury brands.
- Expertise in composite materials and processes such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, resin infusion, wet layup, vacuum bagging, and autoclave.
Advantageous Experience
- Hard Modeling skills are advantageous to work on additional projects in the Fabrication Studio
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
- California (Bay Area) - $35-48 per hour
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
