Computer Based Training II - Collective Trainer (MEL4)

Summary:
Collective Trainer for the Mission Training Complex: Coach and mentor Army Battalion, Brigade, and Division staffs. Knowledgeable in the planning and operation of Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS). Fully versed in all aspects of Army Battalion, Brigade, and Division Operational functions and warfighting function products. Provide expertise in the development of training scenarios, decision support products, and operations orders. Must possess a working knowledge of Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS). Capable of providing over the shoulder instruction on multiple MCIS systems and making recommendations on staff procedures and processes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
• Candidate must have the ability to train individuals on the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) and command post operations.
• Be able to write battalion and brigade level operations orders (WARNORD, OPORD & FRAGO). This includes annexes associated with the warfighting functions of movement and maneuver, fires, sustainment, mission command, protection and intelligence.
• Candidate must have a thorough understanding of the warfighting functions. Served as an Army field grade officer and completed Military Education Level 4 (ILE).
• Candidate must have served as a battalion or brigade operations or executive officer for at least twelve months.
• Four years' experience as a mission command trainer.

Working Environment:

The usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment located at the Mission Training Complex (MTC), Fort Hood. The job requires occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not in excess of 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for exercise events. The exercise support staff typically travels with a low degree of frequency.
