Project Summary

RIVA Solutions is seeking a Computer Network Engineer (Journeyman) to support the Information Technology Services Desk and Engineering services Contract at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. RIVA Solutions is providing maintenance and operational IT support that includes contractor support services for the systems, equipment, hardware, and software. The Computer Specialist analyzes, test, troubleshoots, and evaluates network work devices. Provides technical support for the agency’s devices, troubleshooting, monitoring, and assists managing the enterprise mobile device infrastructure.

Responsibilities

In this role you will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist engaged in test, install, configure, and maintain networks including hardware (servers, switches, and routers) and software for the sharing and transmission of information.

Regular Duties Include:

• Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems, networks, routers, switches virtual computer systems, and perform basic system administration tasks within the scope of the contract.
• Monitor and correct system issues
• Perform system or component restarts
• Assist engineering and contractor teams to resolve system issues
• Meticulously records problem statements and creates appropriate reports
• Preventative maintenance and system checks
• Enterprise Network and Routing Support

Required Qualifications

• 4+ Years’ Experience as a Computer Network Support Specialist
• Knowledge of enterprise-Wide Area Networks (WAN)
• Knowledge and 4+ years of experience with:
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Conditional Access
  • ADFS
  • Microsoft Group Policy
  • Microsoft Mobile Productivity Apps,
  • Technical knowledge of the following mobile and messaging technologies: Office 365, Microsoft Intune

• 4+ years of Customer Service Experience: Works with government customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

Education/Certification Requirements

4+ years’ experience, no degree requirement. BS preferred

U.S. Citizenship or have been a permanent resident for more than 3 years

Must be able to achieve a Secret clearance/Public Trust – high risk
