Job Description
A Natural Resource Specialist III (Conservation Volunteer Program Coordinator) fulltime (40hours/week) classified staff position is available with the Virginia Tech Conservation Management Institute to support the administration and implementation of the conservation volunteer program and it’s volunteers at Marine Corps Base- Quantico, Virginia. The position will be located at Marine Corps Base-Quantico, Virginia near Stafford, Virginia. See Job Duties section for more detailed description of position and program duties.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in natural resource management and wildlife-related recreation principles and practices.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in wildlife management, wildlife sciences, park management, outdoor recreation, or a closely related field.
- Experience managing individuals or a program with a focus on natural resources, dispersed outdoor recreation, wildlife management, or similar.
