Construction Accounting Assistant Job at ProspectBlue
ProspectBlue is partnering with a local client in the Richmond area who is looking for a AP/ AR specialist to join their team.
MUST HAVE construction experience!!!
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure monthly AR invoices are meeting company goals and done in timeframe needed.
2. Run regular AR aging reports and make contact with customers to get late payments processed ASAP.
3. Input change orders into ERP system and follow up with both internal and external customers until
proper documentation is received utilizing standard operating procedures.
4. Manage all company vendors (including subcontractors): to include new vendor setup, subcontractor
prequals, credit application, pricing audits etc.
5. Input payables into company ERP system, run aging reports, and print checks to ensure invoices are
paid and on time.
6. Process company purchase orders per our standard operating procedures
Competencies
1. Is detail oriented and adaptable to new situations
2. Believes in being proactive rather than reactive.
3. Wants to be part of a team that holds each other accountable to push the team forward.
4. Is highly communicative and believes in a communication culture.
5. Experience with ERP systems – SAGE a plus.
6. Moderate to Advanced Excel Knowledge.
7. HS Equivalent and 2+ years working in accounting. Construction Experience Preferred.
