Location: Compleat Restorations, 3570 Gillespie Dr, York, PA 17404


Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM; must be available to work overtime as needed and serve on Emergency On-Call Rotation as scheduled and needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates and expedites assigned restoration jobs to assure all metrics of the project – cost, quality, and schedule requirements are met or exceeded. Responsible for scheduling the day-to-day job site details so that all materials, supplies, equipment, manpower, etc. are delivered to each job site in a way that assures effective project results. Supervises assigned craft employees (carpenters, etc.). Secures and maintains sufficient levels of craft employees and/or sub-contractors to effectively supply labor for all assigned jobs.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction including starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Meets with Project Manager for ‘baton pass’ to assure a smooth transition.
  • Schedules job meetings with all craft employees as necessary, documenting and distributing minutes to assure proper communications and job flow. Regularly confers with and directs flow with any Compleat employees as they interact with other employees and/or subcontractors.
  • Negotiates prices with subcontractors and issues purchase orders and subcontracts as needed.
  • Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
  • Resolves complaints and grievances with any craft employees and/or subcontractors.
  • Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
  • Inspects job sites to ensure conformance to all safety criteria. Observes safety procedures. Reports and corrects all potentially unsafe conditions or actions.
  • Inspects job sites to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and specified times conform to work schedules.
  • Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
  • Supervises and manages day-to-day employee activities for all assigned subordinates. Responsible for performance appraisal, corrective actions, positive feedback, communications, etc. to develop and improve employee growth and performance.
  • Updates job in appropriate software application.
  • Keeps up with paperwork including job audits, schedules, plus/minus sheets, and smoke sign-offs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a HS Diploma/GED or equivalent with additional vocational school (construction) training a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years residential construction work experience including at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.
  • Valid PA driver’s license and clean MVR.
  • Willing to work OT as required and to be part of an on-call team that responds to after-hour emergencies on a rotating basis.
  • Effectively uses computer including accounting, database, internet, and word processing software capabilities.
