Our West Trenton Claims Contact Center Team is seeking a First Notice of Loss Associate (official NJM Title) to provide superior customer service while receiving and responding to inbound telephone calls from policyholders and customers. Formal in-house training is provided. This is a hybrid role and does require working in the office and at home.

We are looking to hire for the following schedules:

Schedule #1: Monday-Friday 11:15am-7:30pm, and 1 Saturday per month 8:30am-4:30pm

Schedule #2: Monday-Friday 10:45am-7:00pm, and 1 Saturday per month 8:30am-4:30pm

Salary: $39,000 annually.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Will service as first contact with our claims customers; taking incoming calls and entering the information into the system for follow up by an adjuster.
  • Provide quality assistance and customer service in a professional and timely manner to policyholders who have experienced an Auto or Homeowner loss.
  • Navigate systems to access appropriate information to service policyholders.
  • Accurately receive and respond to the first reports of an insured's losses.
  • Listen and record information and follow through by assessing losses and acting upon the claim, should it require attention.
  • Determine appropriate coverage and complete necessary follow ups in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform additional duties within the department as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Call center experience handling inbound calls is a plus
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a home high-speed internet connection and a hard wired phone connection
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collect, interpret and type claim information efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Ability to navigate programs simultaneously.
  • Accurate keyboarding skills, Typing speed of 25 wpm or more
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and handle stressful situations
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED

Pay: $39,000.00 per year
