We are looking for an outgoing individual to join our team as a Contact Center Representative to provide support to our members as they live our vision to enrich people’s lives by helping them discover and achieve their dreams. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve membership by providing service and information in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner via call, video, chat etc. or correspondence.
  • Research and solve routine member questions, problems, and complaints concerning credit union accounts.
  • Verify accounts, open/close accounts, accept loan applications, process stop payments on share draft accounts, order cards, and answer questions regarding share accounts, share drafts, VISA cards, ATM cards, IRAs, etc.
  • Cross-sell credit union products and services when appropriate.
  • Assist members with basic questions regarding their loans.
  • Assist members with remote access.
  • Mail, fax, or e-mail new member applications, loan applications and/or information to members and prospective members.
  • Responsible for researching member inquiries to ensure proper follow up and satisfaction.
  • Manage debit card limits.
  • Process online account opening applications.
  • Assign on-line loan applications to AHCU lenders by branch.
  • Call on past due loans for lenders if requested.
  • Work with IT on debit/credit card breaches.
  • Shadow with new employees on phones and show them call center functions.
  • Work on projects as needed by branch manager, VP operations and VP lending.
  • Ensure that all credit union member – and employee – related business is kept in the strictest confidence.
  • Treat all credit union members and employees with a positive and cooperative attitude.
Requirements:

1 year of customer service experience in a contact center environment or 2 years financial institution experience required

Consumer lending experience preferred

Strong cross selling skills

Basic data entry and keyboarding skills

Computer navigation familiarity

Strong attention to details

Good verbal and written communication skills

Problem solving abilities

Excellent interpersonal skills

To be a self-starter working with minimal supervision

Able to work in person on site regularly as scheduled
