Looking for a part-time professional experienced Optician for afternoons.

Come work for a FANTASTIC Eye Care Practice, serving our community for over 30 years! We are an MD/OD group with comprehensive eye care services. Our specialized contact lens team is seeking an energetic, dedicated, hardworking, and efficient contact lens technician. The clinic's focus is on delivering excellent customer service and a great eye care experience. We fit orthokeratology, keratoconus as well as multi-focal lenses and soft daily lenses.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with both gas permeable and soft contact lenses. We are looking for someone with a passion for eyecare, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude with an interest in high-quality patient care. Applicants needs excellent attention to details, good communication skills and enjoy interacting and educating patients of all ages. Previous experience in contact lenses; an NCLE certification is a plus.

Among many responsibilities are obtaining VSP benefits, billing VSP for medically necessary and elective lenses, insertion and removal training, NCLE license is a plus.

Required:

Previous experience as a Contact Lens Technician
NCLE technicians will assist doctors in seeing contact lens patients for care
Understanding and knowledge of contact lens terminology and infectious control techniques

Understanding and knowledge of VSP benefits
Must be competent in collecting/interpreting data from patients
Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
Detail-oriented, energetic, excellent verbal and c communication skills, self-motivated

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
