Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist

Job Summary: The position is accountable for creating and managing the marketing content of brands at Maple Leaf Farms. This position is the designated creator for social media, website and copy content.

Duties:

1) Develop copy for different mediums such as: social media posts, website blog posts and page content, email copy, etc.

2) Create and edit photo and video content for our social media platforms.

3) Manage all content on the Maple Leaf Farms websites and ecommerce platforms.

4) Assist in the creation of marketing materials with the Promotional Marketing Specialist.

5) Proof and assist the Digital Marketing Specialist with social media post distribution.

6) Develop content for internal marketing efforts via company newsletters, sharepoint, electronic boards, and any other mediums that may arise.

7) Assist in planning and executing photo shoots for stylized products, recipes, lifestyle photos, and promotions.

8) Develop assets and training programs for new product launches.

9) Perform related duties as required.

Job Specifications:

Position must be able to manage numerous projects simultaneously. Requires knowledge of marketing techniques and marketing research. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Previous experience in the food industry is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

1) Ability to respond verbally or in writing to many different situations.

2) Basic knowledge of video editing and photo editing and how they relate to social media.

3) Ability to deliver formal and informal presentations and to present material visually in a variety of formats.

4) Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external sources.

5) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and in an effective manner.

6) Strong attention to detail, computer skills, and quantitative skills.

7) Strong knowledge of marketing and practical business applications.

The knowledge and skills identified are acquired through the completion of a college degree in Marketing or Communications. Requires a minimum of 1 year of digital marketing experience and/or copywriting experience. Knowledge of the food and agricultural industry is helpful. Work is primarily sedentary but lifting or moving of equipment up to 30 lbs. may be periodically required. This position is a flextime position with 3 days per week required in person at the MLF HQ in Leesburg, IN. Travel is estimated at 15%.
