HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for consistently improving the overall efficiency and functioning of our Henderson Operations. This includes implementing engineered solutions to address identified problems/constraints, developing improvement plans, executing those plans, providing assistance for employees by analyzing data. The CI Engineer II is responsible for execution and support of the continuous improvement initiatives in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost and the elimination of waste from our processes.


  • Act as a change agent in the organization by driving change and implementing continuous improvement processes, while utilizing and improving existing methodologies

o Analyze, develop, ratify, implement, and standardize manufacturing best practices across the Henderson Operations with a thorough understanding of manufacturing and installation processes

o Represent CI Engineering and/or lead cross functional teams on high impact projects

o Develop and implement standard processes to be used throughout Henderson Operations

  • Manage multiple medium to high complexity projects simultaneously to ensure timely completion and delivery on scoped results.
  • Utilize 8D, Five Why’s & Practical Problem-Solving methodologies to ensure proper root cause elimination of problems
  • Conduct robust process analysis to identify and resolve risks and constraints in the manufacturing/installation value streams
  • Monitor product and process improvement milestones to ensure on-time completion and sustainability
  • Assist and/or lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects involving production, facilities layout, inventory control, quality, and administrative processes
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to management for new improvements and initiatives

o Provide AR documentation and ROI for Capital Investments

  • Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Help define the future state layouts and process maps of multiple locations

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

  • B.A. or B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Agricultural, or Industrial Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Welding, assembly and/or experience is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem analysis and resolution ability; solid decision-making skills.
  • Proven project management skills and experience with implementing change at the shop floor and office level
  • Technological skills required with knowledge of operation’s manufacturing software, Microsoft products, including Excel and Word in Windows environment, as well as Autodesk Suite including Autodesk Inventor
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player
    • Time management; ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
    • Ability to work independently
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as prints, order requirements, and equipment specs
