Controller
A privately owned Lumber and Building Material distributor located is southeastern Pennsylvania seeking a Controller. Serving markets in Berks, Lancaster, Chester & Philadelphia counties and Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey.

The position requires an experienced Controller to lead the overall finance and accounting function and should have in-depth knowledge of general accounting procedures, financial reporting, month end closing budgeting, forecasting, and experience with risk management and inventory control. This role will require expertise in accounting, practical problem-solving skills, and a good balance between strategic thinking and a willingness to roll up sleeves and dive into the details.
This position reports directly to the management team of the organization and has direct reports from HR/Payroll /Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilities:

• Leading all aspects of accounting, including the month-end close process, internal reporting, and implementation of accounting policies and procedures,

• Overseeing the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting for a multiple business units and inventories.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and profit and loss statements for business units; analyze and evaluate financial data.

• Prepare management reports and make recommendations.

• Maintain banking relationship and line credit renewals and financing package.

• Manage and provide analysis for Inventory Management

• Manage and oversee cash flow.

• Continued development of ERP system for optimizing finance processes and new technology.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance related field.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Controller position.

• Proven experience as a Controller, finance officer or relevant role.

• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
