Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all GEODynamics accounting functions on a daily basis as well as month-end closing, reviewing and analysis of monthly results, and financial reporting to all levels of management.
  • Communicate business unit financial progress to GEO Management and provide assistance as needed.
  • Responsible for job cost management, including the development of labor, machine and overhead rates utilized for the manufacturing process and to support product pricing.
  • Analyze Purchase Price variances associated with material purchases: analyze production variances associated with manufactured components/products.
  • Review and close completed work orders. Research and report major variances.
  • Identify problems/potential problems with job costing and communicate with appropriate departments.
  • Manage all aspects of the annual budget and monthly forecast processes for the GEODynamics business unit to include but not limited to preparation of budgets and analysis of variances to spending and/or profitability targets.
  • Direct and oversee the Annual Physical Inventory and reconciliation for all GEODynamics inventory locations. Implement process changes to reduce inventory shrink.
  • Provide direct supervision of the billing processes, and review receivables and collections.
  • Provide direct supervision of accounts payable, including verifying accuracy of vouchers paid.
  • Assure the correct handling of Sales Taxes, where appropriate.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as defined by Senior Management as needed.
  • Assist with oversight and compliance with internal controls established for the organization.
  • Maintain Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
  • Monitor product line profitability.
  • Participate as a senior management team member in Management Meetings in order to develop and discuss organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate/lead cross functional teams through all aspects of process improvements.
  • Provide assistance with supervision of the accounts payable process.
  • Effectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties.
  • Complete all paperwork in required manner and time frame.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change.
  • Follow and support established HSE programs.
  • Report any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary.
  • All other duties or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills/Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • At least five (5) years of general/cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting processes and procedures.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP system preferred.
  • Ability to closely partner with operations management.
  • Proven experience in obtaining results, strong analytical skills, framing issues and structuring analyses leading to actionable steps and practices.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline oriented
  • Strong computer skills, use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Travel required. Must obtain and maintain Authorized Driver status as defined by company policy.
  • Extended use of a computer, telephone and other office equipment, including copier/scanner, etc.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequent standing, walking and at times climb stairs.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, carrying and reaching.
  • Lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 20 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $114,500.00 per year
