The Controller works in the Finance Department and is responsible for preparing and explaining financial data with the emphasis of producing accurate and timely results, forecasts as well as cost data for management. Ensure practices are done in a manner that meets or exceeds all aspects of “Webb’s Quality and Environmental Commitment.”
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Finance
DIRECT REPORTS: A/P Accountant, A/R A/P Coordinator
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Month-end closings for various related party entities, including detailed expense review reports
- Prepare Consolidating F/S (B/S and P/L and C/F)
- Cost tracking for non-exempt
- Quarterly Territory Financial Reporting
- P/R Processing (every other pay period)
- Account analysis, with emphasis on Inventory
- Monthly Sales Agent Profit Report (SAPR)
- Coordinate the annual budget process
- Year-end review prep work to be given to our Independent Accountants
- Work closely with Operations and provide them with timely direction
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist VP of Finance in the completion of duties (i.e. misc. ad-hoc reports from data in Chempax
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA and/or MBA desired
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in Accounting/Finance roles
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel – V look-up and Pivot Tables, Word, Outlook)
- Payroll processing and Payroll Tax Experience
- Time Management in meeting all deadlines
- Accurate and timely reporting
- Effective communication with others in the organization
- Maintain confidentiality with respect to financial information
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
WORK SCHEDULE
- Business Hours
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00am-5:00pm in the office
- Regular and consistent attendance
- After Hours- as needed/scheduled
- Lunch: as planned/scheduled per day
- Out-of-town: infrequent trips to suppliers, customers, trainings, and conferences with pre-planning and approval as needed
