ExecuSource is recruiting Controls Technicians for a client located in the Shelby, NC area to troubleshoot, configure, and maintain highly technical manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment. This is an idal opportunity for recent Mechatronics, IET, or Engineering Technology graduates or someone who is looking for a positive career move with at least 3 or more year of PLC programming/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Job Duties
- Install, configure, & troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity/limit switches, PLC input/output modules, & associated control wiring
- Configure, troubleshoot, and repair motors, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, & soft-starts up to 4160 Volt
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot pressure, level, flow, temperature, consistency, conductivity, turbidity, & pH transmitters.
- Tune process control loops & machine control systems.
- Program/troubleshoot DCS, PLC, & HMI interfaces.
- Perform configuration/logic modifications to DCS & PLC control systems.
- Troubleshoot integrated/stand-alone graphic human-machine interfaces.
- Troubleshoot communication protocols, including Profibus, serial & industrial Ethernet.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles & associated equipment.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years PLC Programming
- experience or 2 years related education in lieu of experience
- Experience working with PLC, pneumatics, or hydraulic systems
- Experience troubleshooting/maintaining a variety of manufacturing equipment
- Welding, machining, forklift skills all preferred
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment & lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and Holidays. Some overtime as needed.
Example of rotating shift schedule:
- Day 1 & 2: 6:00am – 6:30pm
- Day 3 & 4: 6:00pm – 6:30am
- 4 days off
