Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients and recipes according to the needs of the restaurant each day. Prep Cooks must be able to follow specific procedures preparing meats, beans and marinades. The organization and cleanliness of your working area and the shared spaces, such as dry storage and walk-in cooler, are also required. This is a great job for someone who loves working with food and is self-motived.
When Luke Christian left his rural South Georgia home for college, he never imagined that one day he would come home to open a restaurant. Bringing together big taste and bold flavors with the Southern hospitality of his youth, Luke opened his first restaurant in Douglas, GA during 2007, serving freshly prepared Tex-Mex favorites.
Surcheros quickly became a community favorite, a place where they remembered your order and your name. It wasn’t long before others heard about this concept and desired one to open in their town. Luke, and his beautiful wife, Nicole, began to dream big and shared a vision of expansion.
In 2017, franchising Surcheros restaurants began with a complete remodel and updated branding, while staying true to their original convictions. By the end of 2020, Surcheros had quickly grown to 18 locations, with plans to build a flagship restaurant and corporate headquarters in Alpharetta, GA.
Based on this idea, and a desire to become a nationally visible brand, Luke and Nicole moved their family to Alpharetta, where they currently reside. They are so excited to continue their success, expanding the reach of Surcheros to North Georgia. Luke, Nicole and the entire Surcheros family cannot wait to serve the Alpharetta community and many, many more.
