We are looking for a strategic-minded, motivated leader to join the team as a Corporate Controller at the corporate office. This position oversees the Corporate Accounting functions, including Planning and Analysis Manager, Corporate Accounting Manager, and Accounting Systems Manager.


The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the annual operating and capital budget and monthly forecast of the Company.
  • Direct the cost management function throughout the Company by providing financial analysis and benchmarking between factories and industry.
  • Provide financial analyses to support the needs of the Company.
  • Direct the preparation of the company's financial statements and reports in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Manage the invoicing and collection of direct sale agriproducts, lime and other products.
  • Manage the accounts payable function of the company.
  • Direct the company’s fixed asset and project accounting functions.
  • Ensure the company's assets are properly protected via appropriate internal controls.
  • Contribute financial expertise to various functions in the form of special projects and analyses.
  • Develop, maintain and coordinate corporate policies.
  • Provide interim internal financial reporting.
  • Coordinate the company's annual audit with the external auditing company; ensures compliance with FASB requirements.
  • Coordinate the company's preparation of accounting and financial information contained in the annual report.
  • Coordinate the company’s preparation of the 401k and pension financial statements and annual audit.
  • Provide properly installed, updated and functional financial systems to ensure that the financial information demands of the Company are met.
  • Implement Cyber Risk Management program and practices.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the revenue and cost allocations associated with United Sugars and Midwest Agri-Commodities marketing pools.

Minimum Requirements


To be successful in this position requires a seasoned financial executive with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with eight to ten years of extensive internal control experience and knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, corporate planning and budgeting, taxes, and managerial principles. Highly developed communications and supervisory skills are essential. A Certified Public Accountant designation and/or a Financial MBA are desirable.
