Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc. is a leading established Home Health Care Agency. We currently have an opportunity for a Corporate Controller in our White Plains office.

Key Functions include:

  • Manages all aspects of accounting; monthly and year end closing of the general ledger. financial statements preparation, accounts payable, tax compliance, revenue recognition, and special analyses as required.
  • Maintains documented system of accounting policies and operations.
  • Ensures a thorough and rigorous internal control environment is in place and effective.
  • Manages Accounting Staff and ensures staff are trained in their responsibilities and meets all deadlines with a high quality work product.
  • Reconciles all accounts on a monthly basis. Raises issues on a timely basis.
  • Oversees payments of all Accounts Payable; ensuring all accounts are paid based on payment terms.
  • Oversees all credit facilities and debt covenants, ensuring 100% compliance.
  • Keeps an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts.
  • Prepares and organize financial statements and supporting documents for record and review.
  • Prepares monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports.
  • Advises on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with management and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Prepares for and manages all financial audits, including outside auditors, bank auditors and regulatory audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. MBA is a plus. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • Twenty years or more of experience in Accounting within public and private industries
  • Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller or CFO.
  • Experience with taxes a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in Accounting Software, Microsoft Office Suite; Access, Database Management and any other system knowledge needed in connection with the position.
  • Proficiency with Accounting software and experience with an Accounting software system implementation.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards and state/national regulations.
